Amarjit is an alumnus of Symbiosis Law School, Pune. He started his career with Mr. Aruneshwar Gupta, Additional Advocate General for State of Rajasthan and established his credentials by handling complex matters on behalf of the State Government and Public Sector Undertakings before the High Courts and Supreme Court.
Amarjit has more than 24 years of experience in litigation and is a gold medalist in the Advocate on Record exam conducted by the Hon‟ble Supreme Court of India.
Amarjit specializes in commercial litigation and has given legal advise to varied clients including companies like Mahindra & Mahindra, Tata Motors, Reliance Capital, Binani Cement, Indian Hume Pipe, Zbee Sweden, Religare, Wave Bottling, Eagle Boys India Managed Services Ltd., EB Pizza International, Triburg Inc., Cathay Pacific, and individuals such as Ravi Parthasarthy (IL&FS), Chandrachurd Singh (Actor), Kunal Kapur (Masterchef) etc. and also provides corporate advisory and acts as strategic advisor to senior management, including MNCs and supports them in litigation strategy. After joining the firm recently, he has been handling all the cases of the firm before the Supreme Court of India including but not restricted to cases filed by or against SEBI such as the Hindenburg-Adani case, Karvy scam case, Franklin Templeton, etc.
Amarjit appears regularly before Supreme Court of India and various High Courts across India and is also regularly appearing before various Tribunals such as NCLAT, PMLA, DRAT, DRT, etc.
Amarjit is currently the General Secretary of the Bar Association of India (https://barindia.in/) which is an all-India Bar and represents the interest of Advocates across the Bars of India both within and outside the Country.
Amarjit has written a book on Environment & Pollution Laws, has also been a faculty member of the Delhi Police Training College, gives guest lectures on Cyber Laws & Crimes and has a strong background in legal research, drafting and pleadings and contracts and developing Legal software. Amarjit has assisted Asian Development Bank on their project - Justice Administration in India as Domestic Consultant (IT in Judiciary).
